Mountaineers Fall to No. 13 Wofford, 42-31

September 22, 2007 - SPARTANBURG, S.C. — No. 13 Wofford ran for 291 yards and converted 11-of-19 third-down attempts to knock off top-ranked Appalachian State University, 42-31, on Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium. Appalachian’s first setback in 385 days snapped the nation’s longest winning streak at 17 games.
